Description
Generally speaking, the service life of solid wood floors has a lot to do with the usual maintenance. If you pay attention to maintenance, polish and paint regularly, the service life of solid wood floors is still relatively long, and many can even reach decades. Therefore, the first thing is to ensure that the maintenance of solid wood floors can be carried out on a regular basis, and the maintenance is divided into waxing, painting, heat protection, and scrubbing and cleaning in daily life. Because of the different maintenance methods, the maintenance cycle is also different. We will look down according to the maintenance process.
We often say that the wood floor is divided into three categories, namely multi-layer composite wood floor, laminate wood floor and solid wood floor. Although the materials are different, they are common in maintenance.
Note the following
1. Protect from rain and sun exposure. Wood floors are inherently water-resistant, and rain can cause discoloration and cracks on the surface of the floor. However, wooden floors have higher requirements for moisture content, so pay attention to moisturizing. Remember not to let the sun directly expose the floor, otherwise the floor will crack and warp.
2. Pay attention to adjust the indoor temperature. Be careful not to turn on the air conditioner too low in summer, otherwise the temperature difference between day and night will be large, and the floor will be easily deformed and cracked. In addition, if you use the air conditioner for a long time, the indoor air will be very dry. You can use a humidifier to prevent the floor from expanding and contracting, which will cause gaps to make noise.
3. Avoid friction and scratching. It is best to go barefoot or wear cotton slippers when walking on wooden floors. The feet of the furniture in the house should also be covered with soft-bottomed protective pads. If there are heavy objects such as pianos and refrigerators, the bottoms should also be covered with pads.
4. When cleaning the wooden floor, wipe it with a well-wrung, non-drip cloth to prevent the floor from discoloring and cracking due to accumulation of water, or use a vacuum cleaner. In addition, special floor cleaners should be used, and alkaline detergents must not be used, so as not to damage the paint on the floor surface.
5. Keep wood floors dry. If you accidentally spill drinks, oil, water, and other substances on the floor, you should wipe it off with a rag in time, or wipe it off quickly with a detergent.
6. It is common sense that wooden floors need to be waxed, and it is best to wax them once a quarter. To choose a suitable floor wax, use a small area in the corners before waxing, and only wax the whole if there is no problem. Before waxing, wipe the floor with a semi-dry rag, then wipe back and forth after waxing to allow the wax to "saturate" the wood floor.
Of course, in addition to the above 6 ways, there is another way to maintain the wooden floor, which is also applicable - you can lay a layer of waterproof and moisture-proof carpet on the floor. Our non-woven carpet is light, soft, waterproof and moisture-proof.It can well protect your wood floors from mold stains, and it can be recycled.
